delivered by Mayor Wete - mostly in his trademark Yoruba dialect - over a
catchy and infectious musical backdrop which is provided by Lala - who has also produced for the
likes of the late great Da Grin, YQ and SABI - and led by lush drum patterns,
bass guitar arrangements and trumpet injections, “Mawomi” is more than a
triumphant return to form for the aboriginal Yoruba singer and songwriter.
