Music: L.O.S – Bad Guy P Remix ft. Banky W & Sarkodie

In what could undoubtedly be described as the biggest remix of 2013 thus far, Hip-Hop/R&B super group L.O.S have called upon Mr. Capable himself, E.M.E boss BANKY W and prolific Ghanaian Hip-Hop star SARKODIE for the massive new remix of their latest hit single “Bad Guy P”.

With the original single and accompanying music video receiving rave reviews and on constant heavy rotation on the likes of Beat FMRhythm FM and Soundcity among several of your favourite radio and TV stations across Nigeria last year, L.O.S have taken things up a good few notches in only the first month of 2013, with the release of “Bad Guy P - The Remix”…

The resounding remix not only sees the 4-man group L.O.S in sublime form yet again but also finds Banky W impressing with a braggadocios rap verse of his own and highlights Sarkodie as we have come to expect in all of his quick-fire rap glory, over this enthralling Hip-Hop musical milieu produced by L.O.S’ very own YungKillingWtf.

Event: ASAP Reforms Presents Domestic Violence: "The March, The Chat & The Shows" on the 9th and 10th of March, 2013

In commemoration of the International Women’s day 8th March (United Nations Day for Women's Rights ), the performing (Music/Drama /Dance) act 'Aduke' through her 'ASAP Reforms' initiative formally present Domestic Violence: "The March, The Chat & The Shows" on the 9th and 10th of March.

On the 9th of March, ASAP Reforms and its initiators, volunteers, celebrities and a lot more would take to the street distributing fliers and leaflets to publicize statistics, stories and information about domestic violence its effects and phone numbers of counselors to call if found in such situation. While on the 10th of March there would be a talk shop / Seminar held to discuss the topic 'Domestic Violence' while later in the day (on the same day), there would be a drama piece by the crown troupe of Africa titled "Onions Make Us Cry" Directed by Segun Adefila, written by Zainab Jallo showing at 4:00pm and 6:00pm.

In recent times, the rise in domestic violence in Nigeria has become a regular occurrence and ASAP
Reforms as an organization, aims to use various art forms to communicate socio-political messages to cause positive change in the society. In this case, besides the March (targeted at the highly populated areas e.g Unilag-Somolu-Bariga), there would also be a chat session and Drama Piece (targeted at the upwardly mobile) yet sending the message in various forms across various strata of the society.

In ancient African society, art was used as a tool for social and political reform; with masquerades, drummers, chanters etc. who had multiple roles in the society. Their main function was to entertain people, but was still able to communicate messages of change. Back then, our spiritual institutions were intact, as these artists would speak against any ill in the society no matter who was involved. It is this model that ASAP Reforms adapts in a more 22nd century format.

#DomesticViolence: ‘The March, The Chat & The show’ is the first of many programs to be undertaken by ASAP Reforms in a bid to communicate social issues. There would be 'Walks', viral videos and documentaries channelled to spread the messages.

Music: Mi-Fliss – Ode To The Love Of My Life (A.D.A.O.B.I.)

Mi-Fliss
Not many can boast of building the Hip Hop culture in Nigeria. From assisting in pushing projects to showing the “ropes” to upcoming artists, as much as he has and still does. To affiliating and the emancipation cause of Hip Hop in Nigeria back 1999 he has worked with/assisted groups such as Tha Kaliphate, Thorobreds, Nuff Noyz, Str8 Buttah & several others. This is no other than the Hip Hop icon, performer, producer, ardent lover and propagator of Hip Hop culture worldwide, Mi-Fliss.

In 2013, Mi-Fliss will be releasing several projects firstly his Beat Tape Project Series “(B.P.M.-Beat Producin’ Monsta)” with the first installment hitting the net in a couple of days for freedownload & the “Love, Sex, Relationships & Blow Jobs E.P.” in a couple of weeks. “Love, Sex, Relationships & Blow Jobs” is a collage of works influenced in and around his love life & sexual escapades, One of such contents is his new single titled Ode To The Love Of My Life (A.D.A.O.B.I.) off his debut LP & the first course meal off “Love, Sex, Relationships & Blow Jobs E.P.”, A True life story & dedication to his then Fiancée (now ex) which was never meant to be released. With The month of Love around the corner this is a song that would surely grasp true lovers (Heterosexuals that is!) & serve as a soundtrack as well as the rest of the project itself.

Continuing with his collaborative trend, he has recorded tracks. One of such with Capital Dreams’ Artist/Producer Tha Suspect, a club meets street frenzy cut titled “We Bad O!” with Tha suspect on the helm of production & Hook. Another in the works is with the chubby witty Ibo Boy MC, Ill Bliss on a SARZ produced beat and a host of other acts on his debut.

“I finally feel compelled to release a certain number of tracks due to several fans & friends’ word on not having much of my materials to buy/download. And the “Love, Sex, Relationships & Blow Jobs E.P.”, was just to show how better I am at making Love & sexual related songs better than most known Rappers and ease the myopic view of Mi-Fliss as just a Hardcore rapper. I am a 360 degrees type of MC/Rapper/lyricist. Be rapping In Yoruba or English, a hardcore or party club joint I get it in. I’m better than your top 5 celebrity MCees pronto”. He said when asked on his decision to release multiple materials this year.
