Music: T9ice – LOYAL & HONEST + DO DO DO

T9ice serves us 2 singles as his official debut effort on the Nigerian music scene prior to his recent work with fellow label-mate [Mr. ChopChop] on a track titled “Kilonshele” which dropped a while back. Under the supreme management of TommixMusic Record Label and the excellent production work coming from Unique Sound, who’s in charge of the mixing and mastering of these songs, T9ice delivers to us “Loyal & Honest” and “Do Do Do”; these are 2songs with an edge, more or less a break from the norm.

T9ice, on “Loyal & Honest” renders a perfect introduction of himself on to the Nigerian music industry; making the promise of delivering nothing short of good music. His vocal prowess is evident on this very track as he effortlessly delivers on the 265 seconds long track on an instrumental that’s properly laced and arranged by Unique Sound [an official producer for the TommixMusic Record Label].

On his second track which he aptly titles “Do Do Do”, T9ice decides to deliver something for the commercial sector of the Nigerian music scene; this is one track which heads straight to the clubs with scintillating drum patterns as arranged again by Unique Sound. It is of note that the TommixMusic Record Label is based in Madrid, Spain and this particular track is already rocking the Spanish waves as DJs have rendered various versions for this track.

With these 2 tracks, T9ice is ready to stay on the Nigerian music scene as he sure proves to be a good artiste; a singer and exceptional song-writer in this case. Listen up and share your thoughts on this new act by the name T9ice. ENJOY!!!

She dropped her debut album in 2008 titled HERITAGE which had the song Heritage and was a huge success home and abroad. She was nominated for the kora awards in 2008 for Most Promising Artiste .

In feb 2010 she dropped another album titled UNDER-OATH which contains hit songs like Oh God, Nagode, Ayaya, Ebubedike , etc . Jahdiel has since then been working on lots of stuffs concerning her career, performing in many concerts in Nigeria and several parts of Africa, Europe and Asia. She has won many Awards to her credit. Jahdiel’s style of Afrocentric pop gives her an edge above her peers combined with the fact that she plays the guitar and the keyboard.

Here she debuts the video to her 2010 Single OH GOD. A song that portrays the prayer of anyone in need of GOD’s intervention in a particular circumstance. Chukwu okike (God of creation) the beginning and the end. The video has quite a number of characters portraying Jahdiel as an Angel sent from God to touch people who are really in dire need of God’s intervention in their lives as a result of the challenges they are facing. OH GOD was directed by Tosin Igho for IGH Fillms.

Her group “The Minstrel” (a group of girls who are gifted in singing and playing instruments) is set to release an album. Jahdiel is a known name in the music industry and her works are “top notch” with a signature that follows all her rhythms and melodies whenever you listen to them. She says her market is the heart of the people and whenever her works get to the heart of the people she is satisfied. Thumbs up to Jahdiel as she keeps the fire burning and as she stands as a “true model” to the Youths of the Nation.

Who is Sarz?

There is a certain amount of mystery surrounding the legend-in-the-making Trybe Records producer despite producing a variety of hits in 2011, from Skales' "Mukulu" to eLDee's "Wash Wash" to Reminisce's "Kako Bi Chicken". With his production on Wizkid's "Dance With Me" currently receiving heavy rotation, and only a few days removed from Don Jazzy humbly passing his 2012 NEA Producer of the Year Award on to him, we get to meet Sarz as he discusses his influences while some of the hottest producers in the game discuss his impact on them and production in Nigeria.

Despite reknowned success for his production with a multitude of artists, Sarz's versatility was most notable recently on eLDee's critically acclaimed Undeniable album as he crafted the club hit "Higher", street-anthem "Wash Wash", and wedding song "Today Today". Sarz is currently readying his own producer album under Trybe Records for 2013 with a multitude of high-profile features expected.

Music: Nej – Tonight

Already rocking various clubs around Lagos and getting its official premiere on Tuesday, the 23rd of October via Power Play on RayPower 100.5FM is this new single as released by NEJ.

NEJ dished out her debut single just a couple of months back titled "Ligali", on which she featured the "Run Their Mouth" crooner - Jhybo; she's been on and about her full-fledging musical career over the past months having had performances at the Top Celebrity Awards and also at the Bollyood Human Hair Fashion Show. The sexy diva hits us hard with a song that's bound to rock, should you follow her lead and rhythm.

NEJ seeks the expertise of Irich [Fresh Beatz], a singer/producer who's been pretty consistent this year to brilliantly execute the new single titled "Tonight". This song is a groovy tune which gives us the sassy and free spirited side of this sultry and beautiful songstress. With this, she expresses the beauty, fun and craziness of the night-life; she lets her hair down and allows the rhythm of the music take control of her with lines like "Nwanna biko, chelu kam joli", which basically is interpreted as "Hold it, I wanna have fun". Listen up and rock along with this new tune coming from NEJ. ENJOY!!!

Music: M.I - Ashes

Here is a tribute song by M.I. Abaga in memory of the 4 young students who were lynched to death by a mob in the ALUU community. Hear him…

4 young men died at the hands of a lynch mob on the 5th of October 2012. Whether or not their deaths will mean anything, or fade out of our minds as just another meaningless tragedy, is up to us and what we do from here on.
I hope this song captures that message. Nothing would be worse than for a death to mean nothing.
